In an interview with Jonathan Grammer, CEO of U.S. Carbon Capture, we discuss the real state of carbon capture and sequestration. A disconnect exists in the theories of carbon capture, as commonly portrayed, and in practice. The value chain for carbon capture, as we think of it, has been evolving for 10-15 years in Grammer's experience. In Texas, regulatory issues are progressing slowly, though the demand for and supply of carbon offers a unique opportunity. Other states, such as Wyoming and Montana, are further in their legal constructs for carbon storage. We cover some of the fundamentals of carbon capture, the state of developments, and what might be helpful to advance capture carbon efforts, economically and practically.
